China Lion are bringing the new Chinese film The Butcher, the Chef and the Swordsman to Australian cinemas and they’ve given us a sheaf of free tickets to give away. I’ll post two tickets to each of the first ten people to drop me a line with their name and a postal address, usable at participating theatres in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It’s opening next week on the 17th of March.
The flick is the first feature film from mainland Chinese director Wuershan and stars Kitty Zhang (CJ7, Jump), Liu Xiaoye, Swanson Han, Masanobu Ando (Battle Royale and many others), You Benchang and Ashton Xu. It’s an action comedy which looks like a hell of a lot of fun — Kurt at Twitchfilm wrote a positive review when it screened in Toronto late last year, and you can see the trailer on Youtube.
