Great news! Just got word from the good people at Madman – Reel Anime 2012 is set for September around the country. We don’t have any specific dates yet, but we do know that they’ll be screening Ghibli’s latest From Up On Poppy Hill; Summer Wars director Mamoru Hosoda’s Wolf Children; the first feature film in a new trilogy (!!) based on a bit of a fave of mine, Berserk, called Berserk – The Egg of the King; and Makoto Shinkai’s (Voices of a Distant Star, 5 Centimetres Per Second) Children Who Chase Lost Voices. All films will be screened in Japanese language with English subtitles.
