The original Appleseed was a fantastic movie that featured stunning visuals, good action and interesting concepts. I was therefore rather excited to be able to go on another adventure with Deunan and Briareos in Appleseed Ex Machina. First up, I’ve got to say that I had a considerable advantage in my exposure to Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. After all, I saw it at the Mercury, as the first night of the Heroic Cinema season, and the full-to- pussy’s-bow cinema (plus the extra session afterwards) made it extra special.
