OHMYGOD. I have never been more excited about anything in my life!!

Well probably I have, but I can't remember it right now. This news has wiped my brain clean like a power surge on a harddrive. Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame is making a NEW SERIES, called Samurai Champloo - and it's a HIP HOP HISTORICAL SAMURAI DRAMA!!

Yoko Kanno won't be lead muso on the soundtrack this time, but don't get too bummed out about that because instead it'll have Tsutchie, DJ for (Shakkazombie. Not sure if there are going to be other collaborators at this stage, since this news is so new, the only info about it so far is to be found either in Japanese or on news and message boards, but take it on good authority (mine, of course) that Shakkazombie are hella, hella cool.

It is entirely possibly this series might rock even more than Cowboy Bebop.
