Daniel on SORUM: "I thought it was lacking in the story department. Another slow film that could have cut 30 minutes. Too many scenes of the leading lady artistically puffing on a fag. It may have been a better film if it had of been coherent."
Andrew on YOU SHOOT I SHOOT: "That was bloody hilarious, I'm just glad that I'd seen enough hitman films to get half of the in-jokes..."
Andrew on MUSA: "Three words: Big Bloody Epic. And I mean Bloody with a capital B. This is Korea's answer to
Braveheart and Gladiator... except the fight scenes here kinda make
Gladiator look like the goodwill games."
Graeme writes: "I managed both Nabi: The Butterfly &
Looking For Bruce Lee. I would have rated Nabi slightly higher than you but Bruce much lower. For me the film of the day was
Mon Rak Transistor from Thailand. Musa was enjoyable but not much more than yet another epic - quite a good epic but hey ..."
Emma on MUSA: "Loved it, loved it, loved it. The
two-and-half-hour running time seemed like 30 minutes!!!"
Tim on DEAD OR ALIVE: "It was a good movie but I'm still
trying to work out why the hell they decided to end it the way they
did. I know the rest of the movie was 'over the top' but not to the
degree they decided to go to."
Warren on MUSA: "Great remake of Stagecoach. Maybe the
beginning of a trend in 'Bloody Mongol' films?"
Andrew on PRINCESS BLADE: "I went into this film not entirely sure what to expect. What I got was probably the best film that I've seen at the film festival so far. This is a brilliant, beautiful film - and one of the few films that made me cry"
