With the weather the way it’s been (warm and muggy when not raining) it’s not like you need an excuse to go to the beach, but if you do, the great Gold Coast Film Festival is one of the best. It kicks off tomorrow, and again the GCFF’s partnership with Supanova and their commitment to regional and cult film means that there’s some great Asian cinema to be had!
That’s right; Supanova and the Gold Coast Film Festival are coming in April, and there are some awesome events in the to-do list that South East QLD fans really should try and get to!
Doomsday Book (2012) – fresh from the awesome Toronto After Dark film festival, this Korean sci-fi anthology film is about zombies and self-aware robots and the end of the world, and it sounds so awesome I am already there.
You should already know this, but I don’t mind restating the awesome – the Gold Coast is, this month, the place to be. Why? Well, if you’re an Asian cinephile living in our (usually) sunny state and you don’t have tickets to the Gold Coast Film Festival already in your inbox, you’re going to kick yourself, because you’ll be missing out on some seriously fantastic films.
