WINNERS & SINNERS (1983) Rated M. 106 mins. Rental only. Available in dubbed and subbed editions.

Action comedy of a bunch of ex-cons making good who run into a bunch of current-cons making bad. Laffs ensue. This film launched the Lucky Stars series. Sammo Hung directs and stars, along with Jackie Chan, Richard Ng, Stanley Fung, Moon Lee, Lam Ching-Ying, and a bunch of other familar HK faces.

 

ARMOUR OF GOD II (1991) Rated M. 100 mins. $29.95. Available in dubbed and subtitled editions.

A Jackie Chan sub-Indiana Jones spectacular! As per usual the women do nothing but scream and twist their ankles, but Jackie does a lot, including a stand-out fight against a huge Nazi in a wind tunnel.

 

BURY ME HIGH (1991) Rating TBC. $29.95.

Another sub-Indiana Jones spectacular. More adventures of the pulp hero Wisely, last seen in The Seventh Curse. A different cast, different story, and some say a better one. Stars Tsui Siu Ming, Chin-Kar Lok, Moon Lee, Sibelle Hu, Yuen Wah and Corey Yuen.

 

IRON MONKEY II (1996) Rated MA. $29.95.

Donnie Yen stars in the sequel to, no wait, it's coming to me, Iron Monkey, along with vintage yockster Wu Ma and two-fisted Billy Chow. Actually, it's not a sequel, it's an unconnected remake in the modern setting (one of those lame my-famous-ancestor tie-ins), and all in all should be avoided.
