KCO (Sydney) screens ‘Welcome to Dongmakgol’ this Thursday

Sydney readers interested in Korean cinema and able to make it to free screenings on Thursday evenings may be very interested to hear that the KOFFIA team are running a film night at the Korean Cultural Office in Sydney. They’ve actually been doing it for quite a while, with a good mix of films — and who can say no to a free screening of fine cinema?

According to the schedule, this Thursday’s film is Welcome to Dongmakgol, which our own Alison has rhapsodised about at length. The film starts at 6:30pm, and you can find the KCO on the ground floor at 255 Elizabeth St, Sydney. I’ve never seen it, so I’m definitely planning to attend.

As for the Korean Film Festival in Australia, they’re setting up for a bigger program this year: triple the number of screenings, and events in both Sydney and Melbourne. The show will kick off in late August in Sydney and early September in Melbourne, and we’ll post more info when we have it!
